A combination of surveys and discussion are used to identify your strengths, values, and goals, and to determine which strategies will be most effective to utlize. I also use experiential activities intended to increase self-awareness, intention, focus, and coping. We may also watch video clips of your performances to help implement skills, and to better understand what is affecting performance and mood. Together we will create a plan that best supports your performance and life goals. Sessions last 60-75 minutes.
Approach:
My counseling approach is values-driven and strength based, utilzing mindfulness as a core skill and process. I use a holistic model when understanding athletes, performers, coaches, and teams. I consider the physical, mental, emotional, social, cultural, and environmental factors that all influence the performance and well-being of individuals.
